BIOGRAPHY
Christina Craemer possesses a magical ability to transport a viewer to a place of inner tranquility. Her creations are becoming increasingly more coveted after an incredible few years of noted success with installations at The Four Season and Ritz Carlton, and as part of collections in current shows in Palm Springs, Los Angeles and Maui, and Context, Miami.
Since her first solo show in 2016, “Infinite Lines,” where Craemer first introduced her monumental waterfall series, her paintings and commissions continue to increase in creativity and scale. Craemer recently completed her largest commissions to date for The Four Seasons Resort in Lanai. For this project, Craemer created a unique series of more than a dozen large scale photographs shot primarily in South Africa, exclusively for Larry Ellison. Her most recently released series, “Tantrik Lines”, is currently featured in “Gallimaufry”, FP Contemporary, and at Imago Gallery. “I absolutely love the appearance of the new magical tantrik trees… they are blooming with amazing energy..the colors are so inspiring…It is refreshing to work on the new colorful series of trees…after the quiet of the meditative and reflective waterfalls. It feels explosive… ” says Craemer.
“Craemer’s images are powerful compositions that envelope the viewer in her personal realizations of organic forms found in nature that create a unique emotional experience.” – Paul Dahmen, Gallery Director FP Contemporary
The theme and goal in all of Craemer’s work is to inspire the viewer to reflect on the ever changing magic, power and beauty of nature that challenges us to be present. For her, the excitement is in the challenge to translate the magic of a single drop of water in the vastness of the whole, and to be able to capture the distinct energy and emotion of each unique natural environment. She strives to bring the beauty and majesty of these phenomenal natural wonders to life through various mediums. Cramer remarks that, “I love not only the photographic medium and the gestural imaginative process of painting, but their combinations add endless excitement in discovery. The mixing of mediums enhances the spectrum of the emotional experience as I journey through my ever evolving artistic process.”
